ILLUSTRATORI PER IL BOSCO

Lo Studio d’Arte Andromeda ha chiamato a raccolta oltre 30 illustratori trentini invitandoli a fare una riflessione sul bosco a seguito dei devastanti eventi atmosferici dell’ottobre scorso che hanno colpito il nostro territorio.
Con “Sradicati” si desidera raccontare questi luoghi: com’erano, come sono diventati, come potrebbero rinascere, tutto attraverso l’occhio poetico e il cuore appassionato di disegnatori e artisti locali, che hanno vissuto questi avvenimenti in prima persona.

Inaugurazione è stata  Sabato 27 aprile.
E' una mostra da non perdere proposta dallo Studio d'Arte Andromeda che ha invitato i vari artisti a fare una riflessione sul bosco dopo i devastanti eventi atmosferici dell’ottobre scorso che hanno colpito il territorio trentino. La tempesta Vaia abbattutasi anche sul Trentino a fine ottobre, infatti, ha spazzato via interi boschi delle vallate e delle montagne cambiando i paesaggi e costringendo le comunità a una rincorsa imponente (tuttora in corso) alla raccolta del legname schiantato a terra.

La volontà di questa bellissima mostra, ''Sradicati'', è quella di raccontare questi luoghi: come erano, come sono diventati, come potrebbero rinascere, tutto attraverso l’occhio poetico e il cuore appassionato di disegnatori e artisti locali, che hanno vissuto questi avvenimenti in prima persona magari da punti di vista diversi ma sempre da vicino, con il Trentino nel cuore.

La famiglia di Kart Musa ha fatto precise richieste di come devono essere questi cartoon di solidarietà.  Le vignette saranno più efficaci se potranno essere viste e utilizzate dai colleghi turchi. Per questo motivo le indicazioni fornite dalla famiglia Kart l'ultima volta che c'è stata una richiesta di cartoni animati #FreeMusaKart sono ancora applicabili. In particolare, i cartoon  hanno meno probabilità di essere usati in Turchia se includono:
-rappresentazioni  di Erdoğan come mostro, animale o oggetto.
-minareti o altre iconografie islamiche
-le immagini della bandiera turca infiammano, sporche o comunque deturpate o distrutte o distrutte
Consigliamo che il soggetto principale delle vignette dovrebbe essere Musa stesso, non i suoi carnefici.

L’Unione europea non è il Santo Graal. Come tutte le creazioni umane ha pregi e difetti: gli inglesi, che hanno scelto di uscirne, stanno dimostrando quanto sia difficile e costoso rinunciare ai benefici che questa appartenenza comporta. Nonostante ciò, molti cittadini europei la criticano, a volte a giusto titolo a volte meno, senza tuttavia avere la percezione dei vantaggi che essa assicura. Prova ne è l’ondata di malcontento antieuropeista che sta montando in molti paesi dell’Ue. Partiti nazionalisti, sovranisti, a volte apertamente razzisti e xenofobi, non fanno più paura e, stando ai sondaggi, attirano un elettore su tre. La loro base è alimentata dalla rabbia e dalla sfiducia crescente verso i partiti tradizionali, ritenuti incapaci di rispondere alle richieste di cambiamento. Queste rivolte contro il vecchio ordine politico, contro un mondo globalizzato e senza confini dal quale si sentono esclusi, portano alla rivendicazione di un ritorno a sovranità nazionali chiuse nonché al rifiuto di una governance di Bruxelles. Così, l’Ue è percepita come una matrigna che avanza pretese senza dare nulla in cambio. La realtà però è ben diversa. Pochi politici hanno il coraggio di dirlo e i media tendono a inseguire il rumorio delle pulsioni eversive che fioriscono sui social invece di raccontare ciò che funziona o come funziona. Questo libro analizza i grandi temi del dibattito sull’Europa (l’identità nazionale, la sovranità, la questione demografico-migratoria e la crisi economica) e cerca, appoggiandosi anche sulla storia, di rispondere alle accuse che a essa vengono mosse da ogni parte. Pur avendo ben chiari i limiti dell’Unione europea, Thierry Vissol ci racconta che cosa può offrirci questa così bistrattata «matrigna», invitandoci a considerarla non tanto un problema ma come l’unico modo per preservare veramente la nostra identità e sovranità. Una grande opportunità, che necessita di lungimiranza, impegno e immaginazione.

Tempi duri per la satira: New York Times chiede scusa per una vignetta.

Un Donald Trump cieco con la kippà in testa trascinato da un cane bassotto dal volto di Beniamin Netanyahu: questa vignetta, di Antonio Antunes,  è stata pubblicata da un giornale democratico, da sempre molto attento alla realtà della comunità ebraica americana come il New York Times, nella sua edizione internazionale cartacea. E come era inevitabile sta scuotendo l’opinione pubblica americana.
Dopo una prima dichiarazione in cui ammetteva che non fosse giusto “pubblicare una vignetta dai toni antisemiti”, senza però chiedere scusa, il giornale ha pubblicato un Tweet di scuse in cui promette, sulla scia dell’imbarazzo, «cambiamenti significativi nel suo processo decisionale». «Siamo profondamente dispiaciuti per la pubblicazione di un fumetto politico antisemita giovedì scorso nell’edizione stampata del The New York Times che circola al di fuori degli Stati Uniti, e ci impegniamo a fare in modo che nulla di simile accada ancora.

António, o premiado cartunista que assina o cartoon do Expresso, rejeita as críticas de antissemitismo feitas pelos leitores norte-americanos a um trabalho seu publicado a 19 de abril neste semanário e na semana passada replicado na edição internacional do "The New York Times".

"A leitura que fiz é a de que a política de Benjamin Netanyahu, quer pela aproximação de eleições, quer por estar protegido por Donald Trump, que mudou a embaixada para Jerusalém reconhecendo a cidade como capital, e que permitiu primeiro a anexação dos Montes Golã e depois da Cisjordânia e mais anexações na Faixa de Gaza, o que significa um enterro do Acordo de Oslo, representa um aumento da violência verbal, física e política. É uma política cega que ignora os interesses dos palestinianos. E Donald Trump é um cego que vai atrás. A estrela de David [símbolo judaico] é um auxiliar de identificação de uma figura [Netanyahu] que não é muito conhecida em Portugal", explicou o cartunista ao Expresso.

O cartoon em causa mostra Donald Trump cego a ser guiado por um cão guia com a cara de Benjamin Netanyahu e uma trela com a estrela de David. Tanto a Casa Branca como várias associações judaicas norte-americanas criticaram o cartoon, acusando-o de ser antissemita, obrigando o "The New York Times" a pedir desculpas publicamente. "É uma crítica à política de Israel, que tem uma conduta criminosa na Palestina, ao arrepio da ONU, e não aos judeus". explica o colaborador do Expresso.

Cartoonist Must Kart’s trial on charges pertaining to terrorism commenced in Istanbul yesterday. Like all the co-accused from Cumhuriyet newspaper he read a prepared statement in his own defence. According to those there to hear them, Musa’s wry comments were greeted with laughter in the public gallery. He also showed some of his cartoons as evidence of his impartiality, something long-time readers of CRNI’s coverage will recognise.

We present his words in full below. In his jokes at the expense of the prosecutors and their witnesses as well as his allusions to the rhetorical stylings of President Erdoğan and spirited acclamations on cartooning as a vital means of communication it is clear that he is unbowed despite the ordeal he and his colleagues have suffered, recently declared a violation of international law.

Update 25/04/2019 : Musa Kart returns to prison

It is with great anger and sadness that Cartooning for Peace has just learned that Turkish cartoonist Musa Kart, and some of his former colleagues from the newspaper Cumhuriyet, are on their way to Kandira prison to serve their sentences. They surrendered to the police earlier in the day to avoid being taken by force.

Cartoonist Musa Kart was sentenced on appeal to a prison term of one year and sixteen days for association with a terrorist group.

Cartooning for Peace strongly denounces this decision and reaffirms its unfailing support for Musa Kart, his family and colleagues.

Cartooning for Peace invites every associations for the defense of journalism and Human Rights to join the solidarity movement to free Musa Kart and his colleagues.

1.Where and in what year were you born?

I was born in 1986 in the city of Rasht, which is one of the cities of Iran.

2.Why do you like to draw?

From childhood, from the moment I knew myself, I had a unique relationship with the color and painting world and found painting as an integral part of my body and soul. from a childhood, I felt this deep feeling in every part of my life, a sweet sensation that came from me and brought me into the beautiful world of art. painting was an inevitable sensation, and a familiar sensation was inside me. And the more I grew this passion and enthusiasm inside me, became stronger until the day, I was able to express that familiar sense and my thoughts with my paintings. Painting is an inseparable part of my soul and my life, and I cannot live without painting.

3. Since when do you draw?

I was painting in childhood and adolescence, but I started painting professionally at July 2018. And my first work at the International Italian festival (s-coomix 2018, with school theme) was awarded with a special prize.

4. When and where did you publish your first caricature?

my first work at the International Italian festival (s-coomix 2018, with school theme) was awarded with a special prize . and my work was shown at the Italian exhibition in October 2018 and published in the International Festival of Italian Catalog (s-coomix 2018). And local publications also published my work and reflected this news.

5. What studies have you done?

I have participated in many art workshops and I did a lot of studies about artists around the world and how they worked. I also follow the daily issues in the world and do a lot of research in this field. Because it opens up my vision to the world around me and brings up new ideas in my mind.

6. How do you combine your work as a doctor with the of a cartoonist?

I am MSc in Human Genetics of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. My goal is starting art, to combine medical genetics, and art together. And in this context, I have a very interesting idea that will surprised the world of art and genetics in the near future. And I want to introduce humans, a new world of medical genetics through a painting of new and fascinating artistic ideas and to show the combination of art and genetics.

7. What subjects do you like to draw? Why?

Currently, I have already done most of the international festivals, and I've worked in a variety of fields, such as cultural and educational, and new trends of  the world such as immigration, and so on. But one of my main concerns is the pursuit of women's issues, which I am planning and focusing more on.

8. What techniques do you use to draw?

Currently, I use the watercolor and ecoline technique as well as the hachure, which I emphasize more on the element of the line. Also, I use the combination of colors in a special way and drawing on different paper and cardboard.

9. Where do you currently publish?

I'm currently showing more of my work on my Facebook page. And also many of my works are exhibited on websites and national social media and groups.

10. How is a work day for you? 

A day of work for me is full of energy and enjoyment of all its moments, an indescribable pleasure without any fatigue that makes it possible for hours, without a rest, to convey all my inner feelings on paper. One day in my artistic work gives me an emotion that enables me to continue with all my soul and creates a memorable and influential work.

11.Why humor and satire is important for the society?

In my opinion, the concept of a lot of messages can be made very vividly and easily accessible through humor to people around the world, so that all humans can communicate with each other from any place in the world and in any age group, And exaggeration is the best way to show issues in an artistic way. And since humans have a better relationship with laughter, and there is no constraint on humor in the cartoon, this is a good way to send messages to the world, so that it can bring a smile to the people of the world. And in my opinion, the language of humor is the language of all nations of the world that does not need to be translated.

También he ganado el "grand prize" del World Humor festival de Calarasi (Rumania) y el tercer premio del World Humor Awards de Salsomaggiore, a parte de otro certamen en Brasil con dotación económica, sobre la figura de Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Además he sido Guest speaker en la edición del 2018 de la Eurocature. Actualmente colaboro con la revista española "El jueves" y también lo he hecho con la revista digital Buduard.
