Cancellation of the First Prize - HumoDEVA 2017

Dear Artist,
A few days ago, with quite delay, Louis Pol sent to us the drawing you can find below, that was published in the Belgrad 2016 catalog (Zoo), at page 99.
The drawing has a striking resemblance to the drawing below, that we prized at the contest.
We don't accuse Rodrigo da Silveira of plagiarism or something like that, might be a simple coincidence of ideas. But the drawing made by Rodrigo lost its originality, an important quality for a cartoon that's to win a contest.
As a follow up, with regret, having to consider all this, we decided to cancel this First Prize ex aequo awarded at HumoDEVA 2017, Romania contest.

Cancellazione del primo premio - humodeva 2017
Caro artista,
Pochi giorni fa, con molto ritardo, Louis Pol ci ha mandato il disegno puoi trovare qui di seguito, che è stato pubblicato il catalogo 2016 di Belgrado (zoo), a pagina 99.
Il disegno è una straordinaria somiglianza con il disegno sottostante, che abbiamo apprezzato al concorso.
Non possiamo accusare Rodrigo da Silveira di plagio o qualcosa del genere, potrebbe essere una semplice coincidenza di idee. Ma il disegno fatto da Rodrigo ha perso la sua originalità, una qualità importante per un cartone animato che sta per vincere un concorso.
Come un follow-up, con rammarico, dover considerare tutto questo, abbiamo deciso di cancellare questo primo premio ex aequo assegnato a  Humodeva 2017, Romania contest.
