Un'importante mostra di cartoon sui diritti umani in Belgio

Una mostra di cartoni  sul tema dei diritti umani, organizzata da Amnesty International Flandes, l'amministrazione comunale di Olen e Olense Kartoenale, sarà in tournée in diverse città del Belgio, tra cui Bruxelles, e arriverà anche nei Paesi Bassi e nel nord della Francia.

È iniziata a Gand nella magnifica St-Nicolaschurch.
Questa chiesa è uno dei punti salienti dello storico Sint-Baafsplace situato in posizione centrale insieme ad altri edifici medievali e rinascimentali di grande interesse.
Gent è con Antwerpen, Bruges, Lovanio e Bruxelles un'attrazione principale per il turista e il visitatore con una fame culturale.

Mathis de Clerk, sindaco di Gent, Kris Gebruers, l'assessore agli affari culturali e sportivi di Olen, André De Messemaeker e Lore Van Welden, membri ufficiali dell'aminista internazionale, Cois Veldeman, organizzatore di Olense Kartoenale e vignettista belga Norbert Van Yperzeele e Stefaan Provijn e altre personalità hanno partecipato alla cerimonia di apertura della mostra.

Dopo la cerimonia, il pubblico è stato invitato in un tour lungo i disegni e Cois Veldeman ha spiegato il contenuto della mostra.

Veldeman parla di Olense Kartoenale e Amnesty International:

"La Olense Kartoenale è iniziata nel 1989 su base annuale e oggi tiene il suo 31 ° concorso".
“Olen è un comune vicino Herentals a circa 35 km. da Antwerpen nella parte fiamminga del Belgio ”.
"Da 11 anni Olense Kartoenale collabora con una filiale regionale di Amnesty International".
“Uno dei premi da ottenere è l'AI. premio per il miglior disegno sui problemi dei diritti umani ”.
“La divisione regionale fiamminga di A.I. ha visto la rilevanza di questa iniziativa per esporre le proprie idee in modo artistico e diretto. Hanno deciso di allestire una mostra con una selezione di 40 cartoni animati. Questi sono stati scelti da una raccolta di circa 750 disegni con temi sui diritti umani da una giuria del 10 A. I. rappresentanti da tutte le Fiandre e me stesso con alcuni assistenti ”.
“Il progetto è sponsorizzato da A.I. Fiandre e ha il supporto dell'organizzazione dell'Olense Kartoenale e del comune di Olen ”.

Questa mostra di cartoni  sui diritti umani sarà esposta anche nelle città belghe: Antwerpen-Berchem, Westerlo, Mortsel, Schilde, Herzele, Roeselare, Bruxelles e Temse.

A sample of cartoons on human rights in Belgium

An exhibition of cartoons with the theme of human rights, organized by Amnesty International Flandes, the municipal administration of Olen and Olense Kartoenale, will tour several cities in Belgium, including Brussels, and will also arrive in the Netherlands and northern France.

It started in Gent in the magnificent St-Nicolaschurch.
This church is one of the highlights of the historic centrally situated Sint-Baafsplace together with other Middle Aged and Renaissance buildings of great interest.
Gent is with Antwerpen, Brugge, Leuven and Brussels a top attraction for the tourist and visitor with a cultural hunger.

Mathis de Clerk, mayor of de Gent, Kris Gebruers, the alderman for cultural and sports affairs of Olen, André De Messemaeker and Lore Van Welden, official members of International Aminist, Cois Veldeman, organizer of Olense Kartoenale, and Belgian cartoonists Norbert Van Yperzeele and Stefaan Provijn, and other personalities attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

After the ceremony, the public was invited on a tour along the cartoons and Cois Veldeman explained the content of the exhibition.

Veldeman talks about Olense Kartoenale and Amnesty International:

“The Olense Kartoenale started in 1989 on a yearly base and is today running its 31st contest”.
“Olen is a municipality near Herentals some 35 km. from Antwerpen in the flemish part of Belgium”.
“Since 11 years the Olense Kartoenale colaborates with a regional branch of Amnesty International” .
“One of the prizes to gain is the A.I. prize for the best cartoon about human rights issues”.
“The Flemish regional division of A.I. did see the relevance of this initiative to expose their ideas in an artistic and direct way. They decided to set up an exhibition with a selection of 40 cartoons. These were chosen from a collection of around 750 cartoons with human rights themes by a jury of 10 A.I. representatives from all over Flanders and myself with some assistants”.
“The project is sponsored by A.I. Flanders and has the support of the organisation of the Olense Kartoenale and the municipality of Olen”.

This exhibition of cartoons on human rights will also be shown in Belgian cities: Antwerpen-Berchem, Westerlo, Mortsel,  Schilde, Herzele, Roeselare, Brussels and Temse.
