She sees an opportunity to impose her party's far-left agenda on America and only moderate, demented Joe Biden potentially stands in the way. In the unlikely event that Biden somehow manages to win the election on the 3rd of November I would advise him to watch his political (and physical) back leading up to inauguration day, and early on in his tenure.

Ma chi è Kamala Harris?

La 55enne è stata cresciuta in California dalla madre indù, dopo il divorzio dal padre di origine giamaicana. Insieme alla sorella, è cresciuta immersa nella cultura afroamericana di Oakland e ha fatto anche molti viaggi in India.

La Harris ha trascorso quattro anni alla Howard University e poi ha conseguito la laurea in legge all'Università della California.

Dopo aver iniziato la sua carriera nell'ufficio del procuratore distrettuale della contea di Alameda, nel 2003 è diventata miglior procuratore di San Francisco. È stato un momento storico essere la prima donna e la prima persona di colore a ricoprire la carica di procuratore generale dello Stato sulla costa occidentale.

L'anno scorso la sua candidatura alla presidenza è stata accolta con entusiasmo, ma non è riuscita a rispondere a tutte le domande su questioni importanti come la sanità. Ha comunque dato prova delle sue capacità di procuratore durante i dibattiti.

La sua corsa alla presidenza è terminata a dicembre, ma ora si trova nella posizione perfetta per rappresentare coloro che sono ai margini.

Some 40 light-years from Earth, a planet called TRAPPIST-1e offers a heart-stopping view: brilliant objects in a red sky, looming like larger and smaller versions of our own moon. But these are no moons. They are other Earth-sized planets in a spectacular planetary system outside our own. These seven rocky worlds huddle around their small, dim, red star, like a family around a campfire. Any of them could harbor liquid water, but the planet shown here, fourth from the TRAPPIST-1 star, is in the habitable zone, the area around the star where liquid water is most likely to be detected. This system was revealed by the TRansiting Planets and PlanetIsmals Small Telescope (TRAPPIST) and NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope. The planets are also excellent targets for NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. Take a planet-hopping excursion through the TRAPPIST-1 system

LA NOTIZIA DEL GIORNO
Niente da dire, dal punto di vista scientifico la scoperta di un sistema solare relatvamente vicino alla terra  con sette pianeti dalle caratteristiche tali da poter verosimilmente ospitare forme di vita evolute è importantissima.
Ma che abbia praticamente oscurato quella che di 18000 casette di legno, necessarie per le aree terremotate, ne sono state consegnate solo 180 è veramente intollerabile.

The depiction is based on the latest scientific data about this planetary system, and this world’s sister planets can be seen as bright points of light in a dark sky. Each world is roughly in Earth’s size range, in terms of both mass and diameter. Further observations will be needed to determine whether any or all of these worlds might be habitable.

 Star Wars: Il risveglio della forza è un evento di proporzioni che vanno al di là della semplice uscita cinematografica. Ne è conferma il bombardamento mediatico, per alcuni eccessivo, che lo sta accompagnando, la presenza del marchio Star Wars ovunque, dalle batterie ai biscotti, i biglietti acquistati con un mese di anticipo e i cento milioni di dollari incassati in prevendita. E il fatto che della saga di Lucas stiamo parlando da settimane e ne continueremo a parlare a lungo considerando il progetto su lungo termine della Lucasfilm/Disney che prevede un film all'anno per i prossimi cinque (uno della trilogia ufficiale ogni due e i progetti standalone negli anni di pausa).
