25 giu - Dopo oltre centoventi minuti di emozioni l'Italia va in semifinale. Gli Azzurri hanno battuto l'Inghilterra ai calci di rigore dopo una gara giocata ad una porta in cui non sono riusciti a sfruttare le tantissime occasioni create. Il rigore di Diamanti ci porta in semifinale e giovedi' sera a Varsavia l'Italia cerchera' di scrivere un'altra pagina di storia del nostro calcio.

Dave Brown -The Indipendent

In this cartoon from The Independent, Dave Brown uses the myth of Sisyphus to comment on the Greek football team's 4-2 defeat by Germany in the Euro 2012 Football Championship.
In Greek mythology Sisyphus was a king punished by being compelled to roll an immense boulder up a hill, only to watch it roll back down, and to repeat this action forever.
The cartoon, which is based on a painting by the nineteenth-century English artist Edward Burne-Jones, depicts Sisyphus as a Greek (note the Greek flag used as a loincloth). The boulder resembles a football, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel can be seen painting the black spots on it.
